Mark is a postman in a small, quiet town. He wakes up early every morning, puts on his uniform, and rides his red bicycle. He loves his job because he gets to see the whole town and wave to his neighbors. But there is one thing Mark loves even more than his job: cats. Everywhere he goes, he sees cats. Some are sleeping on sunny windowsills, and some are waiting by the mailboxes.

Mark always carries a small bag of cat treats in his pocket. He knows many of the cats by name, like "Ginger," the big orange cat near the park, and "Shadow," the shy black cat living in the bakery's alley. When Mark stops to deliver a letter, he quickly gives a treat to his feline friends. He never forgets to check on them.

Last week, a little gray kitten was hiding under a big tree in the rain. Mark gently picked it up and found an old woman who was looking for it. The old woman was very happy and thanked Mark many times. She told him, "You are more than a postman; you are a cat protector!" Mark smiled.

His supervisor, Mr. Lee, often asks why Mark takes a bit longer on his route. Mark just says, "I have many important deliveries to make, special deliveries for my silent clients."

One day, Mark delivered a letter to an empty house. He heard a faint meow sound. He looked around and saw a small, thin cat trapped on the roof. Mark immediately called the fire department. They rescued the cat. The owner of the house, a famous animal lover, heard the story and wrote a thank-you letter to Mark in the local newspaper. Mark felt a little shy but very proud.

For Mark, every day is a good day because it means more opportunities to deliver letters and share love with his beloved neighborhood cats. He believes that a small act of kindness can make the whole town a warmer place.
